Dante shorts.

I caved...

The baby shorts I made (as a gift) were just too cute, I couldn't resist making a pair of my very own!

I used a Kwik Sew pattern (number 2388) I purchased a while ago with the intention of making some pajama's for Jamie.

I made a few alterations to the boxer shorts pattern, and with the help of my sewing machine and overlocker (serger) came up with these.

Made from 'Dante' by Liberty of London. Fabric purchased on eBay UK.

  1. Look at you go!

Thanks for the heads up on Burda Style. I have had a look and have saved many patterns for future projects. At the moment my focus has been the garden because the weather is just too fabulous to be inside. But once everything is planted I'll be able to focus on my sewing and have a view of my garden through my sewing room window..bliss!

    Erin - Thanks!!!

  6. Hello Sam - I have enjoyed discovering and reading your blog - sewing clothes is not something I am good at, so I always admire people who can!! I am going to keep an eye on all of your hints!

I found your blog as I was looking for some Liberty fabric - Dante! Very elusive - can't find it anywhere. Do you have any spare that you would like sell or swap - I do have a small range of liberty lawn and cordouroy (in large pieces) Happy to discuss price!

  7. Hi Bronwyn, I tried to click on your name but I could not connect to your blog to reply :-) Thanks so much for your lovely comment. I'm sorry to say I have no more of the Dante fabric left. I gave my left over scraps away a while ago to another reader who was searching for it. I hope you are able to find some, keep on googling for it! Sam xox
